Job summary

Kitchen Tune-Up is actively seeking a Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter for on-site work in the Bloomfield, NJ metro area. You will install and modify cabinetry, doors, drawers, and trim to meet high finish standards on residential remodeling projects.

Applicants should have 3 years of trim carpentry experience, plus familiarity with cabinet refacing and veneer work. You must bring your own tools and reliable transportation, be punctual, communicate clearly with the project manager, and treat

Qualifications

• 3 years of Trim Carpentry experience.
• Experience with cabinet refacing preferred.
• Ability to veneer boxes and install end panels.
• Install crown molding and cabinet doors/drawer fronts.
• Drill for hinges and install drawers/roll-out trays.
• Modify existing cabinets and install new ones as needed.
• Prior experience in cabinet refacing, carpentry, or remodeling construction.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Punctual, good communicator, and able to clean the work area daily.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to the jobsite on time.
• Follow instructions from the project manager.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area during installation.
• Communicate progress daily with the project manager.
• Work quickly and efficiently in clients' homes.
• Remain professional and respectful in clients' residences.

Job Requirements - Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter

• 3 years of experience in Trim Carpentry
• Prior experience in Cabinet Refacing is highly preferred
• Able to put on veneer on boxes
• Able to install end panels, cut & install crown molding
• Able to install cabinet doors and drawer fronts
• Able to drill for hinges and install drawers / roll-out trays in cabinets
• Able to both install new cabinets and modify existing cabinets when required
• Prior experience with cabinet refacing, carpentry, or remodeling construction
• Must have all tools and reliable transportation
• Must be punctual, a good communicator, and agree to clean the work area daily.
