F&S Building Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Cabinet Designer to craft functional and precise cabinetry plans for kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces.

You will meet homeowners, take measurements, and transform requirements into detailed layouts ready for estimating and construction. The role focuses on cabinetry design and documentation, collaborating with estimators and installers to ensure accuracy, adherence to specs, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with cabinet design software such as 2020 Design and Chief Architect (preferred)
• Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and terminology
• Ability to read architectural plans and field measurements
• Excellent spatial visualization and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to understand their cabinetry needs, preferences, and functional requirements.
• Measure spaces or verify field dimensions for accuracy.
• Design cabinetry layouts for Kitchens, Bathrooms, Laundry rooms, Mudrooms, Pantries, Home offices, Entertainment centers, Built-in cabinetry
• Create detailed cabinet plans using design software.
• Produce floor plans, elevations, renderings, and installation drawings.
• Ensure all cabinet layouts meet manufacturer specifications and installation requirements.
• Verify measurements, clearances, appliance specifications, and code requirements.
• Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and installers to ensure design accuracy.
• Revise designs based on homeowner feedback while maintaining functionality and budget.
• Stay current on cabinetry trends, storage innovations, hardware, and organizational accessories.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout the design process.
