Job description

Join Jet Aviation: Cabin Attendant – Gulfstream 500 in Teterboro, New Jersey. Jet Aviation is expanding its dedicated cabin crew team on a well-established Gulfstream 500 account based at our Teterboro location. We’re looking for an experienced Cabin Attendant who brings a polished blend of corporate aviation experience, international service knowledge, and genuine warmth. If you take pride in creating flawless, personalized journeys for passengers who expect the very best, this role offers the opportunity to represent one of the most respected names in business aviation.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll be responsible for every detail of the inflight experience—from preflight preparation to post‑landing follow‑up. You’ll work closely with the Pilot in Command, maintenance teams, and cleaning crews to ensure the aircraft is impeccably presented for every flight. Your days will vary between flying and supporting administrative or training functions on the ground, making this a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of their work.

  • Conduct thorough preflight checks of all cabin equipment and report any discrepancies to the pilot in command.
  • Brief passengers on safety features and ensure compliance with federal regulations (for Part 91 flights).
  • Lead the cabin during emergencies, including medical situations, evacuations, or use of emergency equipment like defibrillators, oxygen systems, life rafts, and fire extinguishers.
  • Assist passengers with seating—including children, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring restraint systems.
  • Help with carry‑on luggage and guide passengers through cabin management systems like entertainment, high‑speed data, and phone capabilities.
Beyond the flight
  • Plan, shop for, prepare, and serve all meals and beverages—bringing your culinary eye to every presentation.
  • Create and print menus, weather cards, and maintain client profiles and post‑trip reports.
  • Manage standard stock and vendor relationships for the galley, lavatory, and cabin.
  • Shop for interior items based on the Owner’s specific requests.
  • Maintain bedding, locker areas, and the timeless neatness of the cabin.
  • Handle expense accounts and complete required paperwork, including catering reports.
  • Attend and stay current in all required training: annual recurrent safety, medical, and company Indoc.
  • Potentially supervise or train contract or part‑time cabin crew members.
  • Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally as a true Brand Ambassador.
What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in corporate aviation and a natural instinct for hospitality.

Minimum requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar corporate cabin attendant role, including 2 years of culinary or high‑end food service experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Flight Safety International (or equivalent) corporate cabin attendant recurrent training.
  • MedAire Management of Inflight Illness and Injury certification, or current CPR/AED certification.

We would also love to see:

  • A college degree.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of the aviation industry.
  • Interest or experience in training or supervising others.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • A pleasant, friendly, and genuinely helpful manner with both passengers and colleagues.
  • A passion for excellence and a commitment to Jet Aviation’s core values: Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency.
Physical Requirements

This role is hands‑on and physically active. You should be comfortable standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed. You’ll frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds above your head. Good close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are also important.
