Boulay is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Client Accounting and Advisory Services team in the United States. We are currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services department.

The CAAS Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting our clients with their internal accounting needs by performing and reviewing a variety of diversified accounting tasks. This includes working with multiple clients to help process their accounts payable, accounts receivable, processing or assisting to process payroll under the review of the engagement leader and owner. Tasks may include working primarily independently at times and assisting the client with questions that arise day to day with the accounting department. This position also involves working cross-departmentally with other Boulay departments to effectively accomplish projects and tasks.
Manage the daily transaction accounting activities, including but not limited to:
Discuss and explain transactions/processes with clients in a group or one-on-one setting as needed
Identify and recognize potential risks, concerns, or issues regarding the client file
Maintain accounting records through data entry and file management
Prepare complex sales and use tax returns
Ensure compliance and adherence to relevant reporting requirements
Maintain a chart of accounts
Monitor and maintain fixed assets
Prepare and review 1099 filings
Prepare or assist to prepare financial statements
Identify issues and communicate status updates with appropriate team member or Partner as necessary
Maintain professional and appropriate conduct; represent Firm and self well in all work-related situations
Follow all regulations and ethical standards set forth by the Firm and other governing bodies
Develop an understanding of the client’s business practices
Associates Degree in Accounting
2+ years of related experience
Strong computer skills and proficiency in various accounting and other software, including Microsoft Office Suite
Strong knowledge of all areas of the general ledger, along with reconciliations and month-end / year-end close procedures
Knowledge of GAAP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to drive client and team meetings
Ability to creatively solve problems and analyze client data
The annual salary range for this position is: $60,000-77,000. This salary range reflects the anticipated responsibilities and qualifications of a successful candidate for this role. Final compensation may vary depending upon an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Individuals may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of incentives, commissions, profit sharing, and more, depending on the role.
