Job summary

Ascend seeks a strategic CAAS Director to lead the client accounting and advisory practice, driving growth, operational excellence, and high‑impact client service. You will manage staffing, pricing, and technology integration across domestic and offshore teams to deliver scalable, value‑driven CAAS engagements.

The role requires deep accounting expertise, a proactive leadership style, and a track record of developing people and transforming advisory services for regional accounting firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of general accounting experience.
• 4+ years of experience training and supervising staff.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and advisory services.
• Strategic people leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with offshore teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAAS client accounting and advisory practice to drive growth and client success.
• Manage department resources and project scheduling with data-driven decision making.
• Develop staffing models for CAAS offerings across domestic and offshore teams.
• Oversee workflow management to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional client experience.
• Streamline CAAS processes with SOPs and leverage technology for efficiency.
• Oversee pricing strategies and service offerings for profitability and value.
• Lead integration of acquired CAAS practices and report monthly metrics.
• Present annual strategic plan with growth targets and initiatives.
• Coach and develop staff; foster accountability and professional growth.
• Maintain CAAS pipeline and stay current on industry trends.
