Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller for our CAAS group in Indianapolis, IN. You will oversee financial planning, budgeting and internal controls, lead accounting teams, and coordinate with boards and clients.

The role blends client service with firmwide finance leadership in a hybrid work setting. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting/financial experience, a Bachelor's degree, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online.

CLA is looking to hire a Controller with Professional Services/Family Office industry experience for our growing CAAS group in Indianapolis, IN

As a Chief Financial Officer, you will:

• Financials: Develops internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Coordinates and directs the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization. Prepare financial information. Prepare, or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations. Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Leadership: Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions. Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions. Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations.

• Experience: 7 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required. Professional industry experience is highly preferred!
• Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks (Online version) highly preferred.
• Comfortable in fast paced environment and skilled in multitasking.
