Job summary

Saul Ewing LLP in Century City, CA seeks a Trust and Estates Paralegal familiar with California estate planning, trust, estate and probate laws. You will draft documents, assist in discovery, manage probate petitions, and review accountings and estate tax returns.

Requirements include 5+ years as a Trust & Estate paralegal and a CA Paralegal certificate. You may work in the Century City office 2–3 days weekly, with some travel to firm’s other CA offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Trust and Estate paralegal
• CA Paralegal certificate required
• Experience in CA trust and estate litigation or administration preferred
• Experience with gift tax and estate tax returns preferred
• Self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate probate court filings and recordings, including research and familiarity with local rules
• Assist in Estate and Trust litigation tasks and prepare pleadings for filing
• Assist in litigation discovery tasks
• Prepare probate administration paperwork, including petitions and orders
• Assist with trust administration tasks
• Communicate with clients and advisors relating to coordination and gathering of information
• Prepare gift tax and estate tax returns
• Prepare draft accountings per California Probate Code
• Prepare basic Estate Planning documents and assist with signing
