Job summary

GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a C4ISR Engineering Technician (Shipboard) to support installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems aboard naval platforms in Chesapeake, VA.

The role requires hands-on work with communication, navigation, and sensor systems while ensuring safety and quality of installations. Ideal candidates have Navy C4ISR installation experience, eligibility for a Secret clearance, and willingness to travel including OCONUS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with OSHA 10.
• Experience installing C4ISR equipment for the US Navy.
• NAVSEA concepts/policies in electronics repair/installation.
• Ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance.
• Willingness to travel, including OCONUS.
• Proficient C4ISR installer with DoD or telecom experience.
• Familiarity with SPAWAR Afloat Installation Process Handbook.
• Proficiency with installation power/hand tools and test equipment.
• Ability to work in high heat spaces and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Attach fiber optic and RJ-45 connectors; dress cable installations for organized appearance.
• Install CANES, NMT, ADNS, COMSEC, KW46, and other systems.

• Travel to various work sites, including OCONUS.

C4ISR Engineering Technicians (Shipboard)

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering/technical tasks including equipment repair, cabling, inspection, installations, modifications, and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Attach fiber optic connectors, RJ‑45 connectors, and DB type connectors, and dress cable installations to present a well‑organized appearance.
• Install CANES, NMT, ADNS, COMSEC, KW46, and other various systems.
• Work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C4ISR system installations.
• Travel may be required to various work sites, including OCONUS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with current and active OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience installing C4ISR equipment for the US Navy.
• Experience with NAVSEA standard concepts and policies/procedures within electronics repair, fabrication, and installation.
• Ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance.
• Willingness to travel to various work sites, including OCONUS.
• Proficient as a C4ISR system installer with prior practical work experience with Department of Defense and/or major telecommunications services or equipment providers.
• Understanding of and experience complying with drawings completed in accordance with the SPAWAR Afloat Installation Process Handbook.
• Skilled and experienced in the safe and efficient operation of common installation power and hand tools including hand‑held saws, drills, hole punches, levels, crimpers, fusion splicers, and conduit benders.
• Skilled in the operation of installation test equipment including spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, VSWR meters, Bit‑Error Rate Test Sets, and CAT 5e/6 cable testers.
• Consistent record of good workmanship and compliance to applicable work and industry standards.
• Ability to work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and C4ISR system installations.
• Must be able to work in high heat spaces, confined spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for cable runs under false decking, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Desired Qualifications

• Multi‑pin, fiber optic connector, Air‑blown fiber, and KITCO certifications.
