Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced candidate who is excited about becoming a Command & Control Information Systems (C2IS) (formerly Mission Command Training Systems [MCIS]) Training Instructor that helps Soldiers advance personal skills and helps prepare military units to accomplish their mission.

The selected candidate will work at the Camp Bullis Mission Training Complex (MTC) in San Antonio, Texas. They are responsible for providing instruction to individual and collective Soldier training events and working with the Training Support team. In addition, the selected candidate will work closely with the Technical Integration team to ensure technical preparations are functionally and operationally ready for upcoming training. The successful candidate will work closely with Military Planners and other key leaders to coordinate collective training events, locations, transportation, and logistics.

This is an exciting opportunity for a successful applicant to apply their military experience to help Soldiers increase their individual knowledge, units meet training objectives, refine unit processes and procedures, and help units maximize use of the Mission Training Complex capabilities as they train and prepare for follow-on missions.

What You’ll Do

Provide individual and collective training to Soldiers for an Army Mission Training Complex (MTC)
Function as part of a Training Support team
Conduct unit training and assist with exercise planning, meeting/conferences, executive summaries, in-progress reviews, and site surveys appropriate to the training event
Provide input to Military Planners for all training events
Provide input to monthly contract deliverable training report
Support internal training to sustain and improve contractor capabilities using simulations and Army C2IS, formerly MCIS
Coordinate with training audience and Military Planners for collective training event planning, design, meeting support, EXCON/HICON & Response Cell management, and AARs
Assist with planning, design, and coordination for training at all echelons, from individual through Brigade, and occasionally up to Corps and Joint level
Responsible for ensuring training events comply with current Army doctrine, DATE/OE, and CTC best practices
Supports training event development across the Technical Integration and Training Support Sections
Reports to and takes direction from the Training Support Lead
Minimum travel required

Requirements And Qualifications

Four (4) years military experience, or four years directly supporting the military
Completed formal training in an C2IS/MCIS system
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with military training
Experience in operations and training at Battalion or higher level
Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint or similar web-based collaboration software tool(s)
U.S. citizenship
Active Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, subject immaterial
Graduate of Senior Leaders Course, Basic Officer Leadership Course or higher
Four (4) years military experience as a primary instructor
DoD 8570 Certified (e.g., CompTIA Security+ and CE, etc.)
Demonstrated experience preparing and briefing at the General Officer level
Familiarity with military (preferably US Army) training, operations, training aids, devices, simulators, and simulations (TADSS), mission training complexes, and command & control information systems (C2IS)
