Amentum is seeking a Site Lead Mechanic to lead the operation and maintenance of aircraft, subsystems, and support equipment at a U.S. government site in California.

The role covers the CLS system, contractor spares, and on-site coordination with the Government to ensure readiness, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aircraft maintenance, FAA A&P license, and experience leading a team on complex King Air/1900 series aircraft, with the ability to obtain DoD security

Qualifications

• 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience.
• 3+ years maintaining King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft with complex modifications.
• 1+ year as a site lead on a similar program.
• Current FAA A&P license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage maintenance and repair of aircraft, subsystems, and support equipment.
• Direct a workforce in aircraft maintenance, repair and modification.
• Serve as on-site liaison with the Government and coordinate with program personnel.
• Oversee supply of contractor owned spares and support equipment.

Job description

As the Site Lead Mechanic you will lead the effort for operating and maintaining the aircraft, aircraft subsystems, and support equipment. The CLS system includes all aircraft maintenance and personnel, materials and inspections, launch and recovery of the aircraft, supply of all Contractor owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP); repair and overhaul of all repairable spares at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations; maintenance and repair of all support equipment; aircraft paint; engine repair and overhaul.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years aircraft maintenance experience
• 3 or more years maintaining King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft to include complex aircraft modifications
• One or more year as a site lead under a similar type effort
• Current FAA A&P license
• Demonstrated ability to direct a work force in the performance of aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification
• Capable of performing duties as the on-site liaison with the Government
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED minimally required $90,000 - $150,000 + housing allowance and hardship pay (if space allows)
