Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Site Lead Mechanic in New Orleans to lead operation and maintenance of aircraft, subsystems and support equipment, including launch/recovery, inspections, and spares through the COMP program. Requirements: FAA A&P license; 5+ years in aircraft maintenance; 3+ years on King Air/1900 series with complex mods; 1+ year as site lead; US citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Salary is $90,000–$150,000 with housing allowance and hardship pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years aircraft maintenance experience.
• 3+ years maintaining King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft to include complex aircraft modifications.
• One or more year as a site lead under a similar type effort.
• Current FAA A&P license.
• Demonstrated ability to direct a work force in the performance of aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification.
• Capable of performing duties as the on-site liaison with the Government.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a United States DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED minimally required.

As the Site Lead Mechanic you will lead the effort for operating and maintaining the aircraft, aircraft subsystems, and support equipment. The CLS system includes all aircraft maintenance and personnel, materials and inspections, launch and recovery of the aircraft, supply of all Contractor owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP); repair and overhaul of all repairable spares at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations; maintenance and repair of all support equipment; aircraft paint; engine repair and overhaul.

QUALFICATIONS

• 5 or more years aircraft maintenance experience
• 3 or more years maintaining King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft to include complex aircraft modifications
• One or more year as a site lead under a similar type effort
• Current FAA A&P license
