Larry H. Miller Ford Draper in Draper, Utah is seeking an Automotive Apprentice Technician to join our service team. The role involves hands-on learning under the guidance of certified technicians to perform inspections, basic repairs, and routine maintenance.

You should be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, bring basic tools, and pass pre-employment screening. Automotive technical school certifications are preferred but not required, and attendance and a positive attitude are valued.

The "C" Level Technician is responsible for completing preventive maintenance and light line repairs independently with no technical supervision. This individual may also assist senior/master technicians with complex repairs.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Perform basic suspension and steering diagnosis and repair, basic brake diagnosis and repair, alignments, tire repair, fluid maintenance exchange, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) repairs /replacement battery check and installation, manufacture recalls if certification level required is obtained
• Makes accurate use of the multi-pointinspection form on each vehicle
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory instructions and standards
• Stay up to date by reading and understanding factory bulletins, covering campaigns, updates and recalls
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Understands and completes required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools
• Continuously expand your knowledge of new technology to gain additional practice
• Automotive technical school certifications preferred but not required
• Previous automotive experience as a "D" level tech required
• Must have good prior work or school attendance
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Must be at least eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have basic tools
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
