Job summary

Torch Technologies, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to refactor a large code base for platform independence, robust testing, and Docker-based deployment.

Ideal candidates will have experience with C++20, Boost ASIO, and containerization, plus the ability to work in a DoD environment and obtain a security clearance. Daily onsite work at Redstone Arsenal is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field; graduate degrees preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of software design/engineering experience.
• Proficient in C++20 development.
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Experience with network implementations using Boost ASIO; security clearance ability required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze complex software for computer-based systems.
• Perform systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to resolve incompatibilities.
• Contribute to documentation for new or existing programs.
• May provide work leadership for junior staff.
