Old Mission is a global proprietary trading firm seeking C++ Software Engineers to join our NYC team. You will build and optimize our automated trading infrastructure and partner with Traders and Quants to advance trading algorithms.

Expect collaboration on scalable multi-tiered applications in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in C++ (including modern standards), Linux kernel expertise, network-programming experience, and a passion for solving challenging

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of C++ development experience, with latency-conscious systems.
• Experience with C++11/14/17/20, Linux, and Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel and systems programming.
• Experience with low-latency computing and multi-threaded design.
• Experience connecting applications to exchange APIs or network protocols.

About the Position

Old Mission Capital LLC, is looking to add several C++ Software Engineers to join our team in NYC. In this role, you will be building and optimizing our current automated trading infrastructure, and you will also be tasked with working directly with our Traders and Quants to develop the next generation of the firm’s trading algorithms and strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and developing scalable multi-tiered applications. Our Software Engineers work on small collaborative teams and are a key component for our success.

Required Skills

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical related field
• 5+ years of experience developing applications in C++ (with at least 3 years of C++ 11) preferably with high availability systems with very tight latency constraints
• Experience with C++ 11/14/17/20, Linux and Python and BASH scripting
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel, systems programming
• A passion for solving challenging problems
• Strong systems knowledge and prefer some experience in developing low latency systems
• Experience with writing applications connecting to exchange API’s or using network protocols
• Experience with parallel, concurrent, and multi-threaded programming
• Prefer experience with low-latency computing and hardware-level design
• Experience with Git, SVN, Mercurial

Base Salary Range

$175,000 - $300,000 - Salaries are based on numerous factors such as skills, experience, and education. Our compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits program for full-time employees. For more information, reach out to your recruiter.
