VSolvit is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Developer (C++) to join our team supporting the development and maintenance of mission-critical analysis applications for the U.S. Navy.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ for desktop application development.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, or asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Git workflows (commit, branch, merge, PR).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a team.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (or ability to obtain one).
• CompTIA Security+ Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams to develop, test, and maintain desktop software applications.
• Develop software solutions using C++ under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads.
• Participate in software design, implementation, debugging, and testing activities.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting software defects and performance issues.
• Support the enhancement and modernization of existing desktop applications.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation as required.
• Work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, testers, and government stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Support software integration, deployment, and sustainment activities.
