  • Assists the Dentist with appropriate treatments and performs independent procedures.
  • Sterilizes dental equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Maintains the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Log.

C/S Dental Hygienist

As a C/S Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in advancing community oral health by delivering high-quality preventive and therapeutic care in both clinical and community-based environments. This dynamic role involves engaging with diverse populations, providing personalized oral health education, and improving access to care for underserved communities.

This position requires travel to schools and community events throughout New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties.

Essential Functions
  • Provides clinical oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application, fluoride application, x-rays, and dental impressions.
  • Conducts initial mouth screening, checks oral health history and conducts oral cancer screenings.
  • Maintains patient documentation, paper charts and electronic dental records, ensuring accurate records of care or treatment provided.
  • Provides preventative oral health education to patients either in person or virtually.
  • Assists the Dentist with appropriate treatments and performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by a dentist in accordance with state regulations and law.
  • Sterilizes dental equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Log.
