Job summary

Oceaneering International Inc. in Austin invites you to join its Software group for a paid Summer Engineering Internship.

You will contribute to the autonomous underwater vehicle development program with software development, algorithm work, simulation, and vehicle testing. You will work with a mentor to align projects with your studies, gain real-world experience, and participate in team-building activities, tours, and executive lunches.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development and algorithm development is desirable.
• Familiarity with simulation and vehicle operation/testing is a plus.

What you’ll do

This is a paid Summer Engineering Internship Program (mid May to early August).As an intern with our Austin Software group, you’ll workto assist in development of our autonomous underwater vehicle development program doing software development, algorithm development, simulation and vehicle operation/testing. Additional responsibilities may include user documentation, testing and requirements gathering.

Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.
