The Riverside Transit Agency is seeking a C Mechanic to perform preventive and emergency maintenance on agency vehicles in the Maintenance Department. The position may be based at Riverside or Hemet, and applicants must be available to work 7 days per week, including holidays and all shifts.
Key duties include assisting A/B Mechanics, conducting minor road calls, maintaining maintenance and inventory records, and assisting Servicers with related tasks.
The Riverside Transit Agency is recruiting for "C" Mechanic positions in the Maintenance Department.
The "C" Mechanic will perform periodic and emergency maintenance procedures on all Agency vehicles assigned (cars, vans, trucks, and buses) as described under Essential Duties/Responsibilities.
Please be advised that this may involve assignment at either our Riverside or Hemet locations. Applicants must be available to work 7 days per week, including holidays and all shifts.
Essential jobduties include but not limited to:
Graduation from high school or its equivalent with at least 1 year of experience in maintaining either autos, buses or heavy equipment.
OR
The completion of a minimum of classroom instruction consisting of three courses at an accredited college. Acceptable courses include the repair of diesel engines, automotive, heavy duty or transit vehicles, subject to department manager approval.
Must possess a valid non-restricted California driver's license and be able to obtain a Class B license and medical certificate.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
A current valid non-restricted Class C Driver's License is required. Additionally, obtain an official DMV driving history printout from a branch of the DMVprintout(issued not more than 30 days prior to date of application) must be provided with the application. The DMV driving history must be clear of suspensions for any reason within the past five (5) years and have no more than three (3) points within the past five (5) years, and no two (2) point violations.
