Paragon Alpha - Hedge Fund Talent Business in Chicago seeks a C++ Software Engineer to join its high-performance trading technology team. You will work on latency-critical infrastructure and develop highly optimised C++ software that interfaces with specialised hardware.

Collaborate with hardware engineers and trading technology teams to design, implement, and optimise ultra-low-latency systems, improve throughput, and integrate new applications into existing trading infrastructure, including

Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience developing modern C++ in a low-latency environment.
Experience developing software for hardware platforms.
Strong understanding of performance optimisation and high-throughput systems.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of electronic trading systems and financial markets.
Experience working with FPGA or ASIC-based systems.

Responsabilités

Design and develop ultra-low-latency, high-performance trading systems.
Optimise production C++ code and system components to improve latency and throughput.
Develop software that interfaces directly with specialised hardware, including ASICs and FPGAs.
Collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver efficient technical solutions.
Integrate new applications and enhancements into existing trading infrastructure.
