Job summary

The Third Group is seeking a Software Engineer to design and deliver high-quality solutions for our fixed income trading system. You will apply strong C/C++ expertise, work on Unix/Linux platforms, and collaborate across teams to ensure secure, scalable software.

Responsibilities include owning features from design to delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and upholding architectural standards with attention to risk and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with C/C++ programming languages.
  • Solid experience with developing applications on Unix/Linux.
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgresSQL).
  • Experience with messaging technologies (e.g. Solace, Google Protocol Buffers).
  • Exposure to real-time event processing (e.g. Messaging, Signals, DB events).
  • Experience using feature and bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira).
  • Solid understanding of software design principles and secure coding practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.

$175,000 per year
