Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Westford, MA seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop robotics control, scheduling, and automation software for laboratory medical devices. You’ll work on low-level hardware communication, test and document results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable software.

You will design and implement device interfaces, state-based control, and cloud-enabled solutions using C++, C#, WPF, MVVM, and REST APIs within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of experience in design, development and maintenance of high-performance software in enterprise environments.
• Experience with C/C++ and C# in robotics or medical device software is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud services (AWS/Azure) and modern UI architectures (WPF/MVVM) is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software that controls medical devices and laboratory robotics.
• Perform testing, validation and documentation to ensure safety and reliability.
• Collaborate across disciplines to define requirements and document design/ testing activities.
• Develop low-level software for hardware communication and device control.
• Create application-level software for state-based device behavior and performance management.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews and technical documentation.
