Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on developing and maintaining high-performance embedded Linux software using C/C++ and Go within a Scrum-based process.

You will work on multi-threaded systems, implement end-to-end monitoring and logging, and leverage OpenTelemetry and APM tools to ensure robust observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years related development experience.
• 6+ years’ experience of C/C++ and Go.
• 6+ years embedded Linux software development.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threaded embedded software.
• Experience with end-to-end monitoring/logging frameworks (Vector preferred).
• OpenTelemetry exposure preferred.
• APM tools exposure (Datadog/Kibana/Logstash/Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk).
• 3+ years working with Scrum and 2-week sprints.

• 6+ years’ experience of c/c++ and golang


• 6+ years of embedded Linux software development experience.


• Good knowledge and experience in multi-threaded embedded software development.


• Preferably have experience with end t- end monitoring and logging frameworks like Vector


• Preferably have exposure t- otel (open telemetry protocol)


• Preferably have APM tool exposure like datadog/kibana/logstash/promethius/grafana/splunk


• 3+ years of experience working with Scrum software development processes with rapid iteration cycles (2-week sprints)
