Job summary

SAK Construction, LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks a dependable Bypass Laborer to join our Bypass Operations Team. You will assist with setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of bypass systems, always prioritizing safety and teamwork on site.

This hands-on role requires readiness to travel about 3 weeks at a time and to work a demanding schedule on potentially rotating shifts. A proactive communicator who follows directions will excel here.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a valid driver license and be able to pull a small trailer.
• Experience with reach lifts is preferred and safety-conscious behavior is essential.
• A positive attitude and ability to follow directions are required.
• Poly pipe fusion experience is desirable for bypass operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of bypass systems.
• Communicate effectively with foreman, crew, and property owners.
• Work safely and efficiently, prioritizing team and public safety.
• Adapt to a demanding schedule, including 7 days a week, day or night shifts.
• Travel as needed, typically for multi-week assignments.

Position Overview

SAK Construction is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Bypass Laborer to join our Bypass Operations Team in San Antonio, TX. This position is responsible for assisting with the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of bypass systems while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and with the highest regard for teammates, customers, property owners, and the public. The ideal candidate is a dependable self-starter who can communicate effectively and always represent SAK Construction professionally.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at location (shop/job site) as directed by foreman/ crew lead the day before
• Punctuality is of the most importance (we are normally on a tight schedule, especially on smaller jobs)
• Receive and follow direction without hesitation/ ask questions if you do not understand
• The schedule of this position can be demanding at times- 7 days a week, day, night or swing shift
• Availability to travel is a must (typically 3 weeks at a time) can be shorter if the schedule calls for it

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL
• Confined space certification
• Pipe fabrication/ bolt up
• Bypass monitoring experience
