Position Summary:
This position reports directly to Rod Nixon. The driver operates manure tractor trucks, loads, hauls, and spreads manure in accordance with EPA guidelines, logs all loads, completes a "Manure Load" form for the accounting department, and assists other departments such as maintenance and house personnel. Daily equipment inspections are performed, and the driver assists with maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of manure handling equipment when not driving. The driver is responsible for covering all outgoing loads to ensure waste product is not lost, maintaining trailer integrity, and preserving sanitary conditions. The driver must adhere to all safety policies and GMPs, report any conditions that may affect food safety or personnel safety, and perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Less than high school education.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, using American money, weight, volume, and distance units.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
