Job summary

Foot Locker Corporate Office in New York is seeking a Buying Coordinator to support our Foot Locker banner. You will assist the Buying teams with vendor communication, product assortment, and categorization, while gaining exposure to trend analysis and cross-department collaboration.

The role involves documenting SKU details, coordinating samples and photoshoots, and contributing to brand direction with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

  • Degrees in Apparel, Merchandising, Design, Fashion Retail Management, Marketing, Finance/Economics, or other related business degrees preferred and/or relevant work experience
  • Experience within the retail fashion industry
  • Passionate about sneaker culture and/or the retail industry
  • Basic understanding of retail math
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and charts & graphs
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail are necessary
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; able to take initiative in finding solutions to new issues
  • Self-started with organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Omni SKU maintenance (liaise with PSS team to maintain SKU description, category, brand ID, and sizes; update UPCs/SKU IDs)
  • Partner with the digital team to ensure styles are prepped for digital placement
  • Organizing samples and coordinating photoshoots, including shipments between locations
  • Supporting organizing samples and mock store set up within the corporate office
  • Communication - liaison between various departments
  • Marketing - liaison between buying and marketing teams
  • Participate in vendor meetings and contribute to overall brand direction
  • Competition research (i.e., the product they carry, what is on sale, etc.)
  • Provide trend insights and analysis across the footwear and fashion industry
  • Additional buyer support as required

Foot Locker, Inc. is looking to hire a Buying Coordinator to support our Foot Locker banner. Our Buying Coordinator role requires a proactive and collaborative person who is responsible for supporting our Buying teams while collaborating with various departments. In this role, you will be exposed to communication with the vendor community, as well as product assortment and categorization. As you gain experience in the role you will have opportunities to provide trend analysis.

Benefits

Rate of Pay: $29.00-$32.75 / hour

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
