Performance Food Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support procurement, order confirmation, invoicing, and drop-ship processing. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate fulfillment in a fast-paced foodservice environment.
Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 6–12 months in procurement, warehouse, or administrative roles; preferred 1–2 years in foodservice procurement.
Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers - providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
Responsible for assisting personnel within Purchasing confirming all purchase orders, invoicing customers and processing drop ships. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and wide range of company personnel in a positive and proactive manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
