Nott Company is seeking a senior purchasing professional to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies meet customer demand and quality standards. You will primarily support a designated facility while collaborating with Purchasing Team members at other locations.

You will work with Operations, Sourcing, and Customer Service to reduce lead times, manage costs, and provide training to Buyers in your area. This role requires analytical thinking, problem solving, and travel to other locations as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required.
• Minimum of 4 years purchasing experience; ISO 9001 environment preferred.
• APICS, ISM or Greenbelt certification, or advanced degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel to other Nott Company locations on a limited basis.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug tests.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Operations, Sourcing, and Customer Service to reduce lead time and costs.
• Serve as the point of contact for Purchasing operations at the assigned facility.
• Provide training and direction to Buyers in area of responsibility.
• Lead projects beyond day-to-day duties to address broader business problems.
• Perform procurement and inventory management data analysis.
• Interpret and execute purchase orders while maintaining visibility.
• Monitor and expedite unconfirmed, upcoming, and past due orders daily.
• Coordinate returns of parts via Returned Goods Process.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable urgently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a senior level member of the Nott Company Purchasing Team, you will be responsible for making sure we have the materials, equipment and supplies needed to meet customer demand and quality requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to serve a designated facility, but also to collaborate with Purchasing Team members in our other locations.

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with Operations, Sourcing, and Customer Service to communicate issues to drive lead time and cost reduction improvements.
• Serve as the point of contact for Purchasing operations in the assigned warehouse.
• Provide training and work direction to Buyers within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Take on broader business views to problems by leading projects outside of the day-to-day duties.
• Perform procurement and inventory management data analysis.
• Interpret and execute purchase orders for assigned commodities, while maintaining tracking visibility and internal communication through receipt.
• Monitor and expedite unconfirmed, or upcoming and past due purchase orders daily.
• Coordinate and administer the return of parts to suppliers via the Returned Goods Process.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable with urgency.
• Participate in processes and programs aimed at continuous improvement and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you need to be successful?

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required.
• APICS, ISM or Greenbelt certification, or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years purchasing experience. ISO 9001 environment preferred.
