Yoh is seeking a Buyer (ONSITE) for a contract opportunity in Austin, TX. The role pays 28–38 USD per hour and is on site with a major semiconductor manufacturer. You will negotiate pricing, issue RFQs, manage POs, and collaborate with engineering and SCM teams to ensure on-time material receipts and optimal cost.

A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or procurement is required.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate pricing and terms of purchase; quote materials and procure at the lowest cost balanced with quality and reliability.
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, and adjust purchase orders as needed.
• Follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payments, and maintain records; negotiate vendor contracts where appropriate.
• Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain planned inventory levels.
• Resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues; mentor colleagues on procurement activities.

Buyer (ONSITE)

Needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing's client working in Austin, TX.

• Pay Rate: $28-38/hr
• ONSITE

Estimated Min Rate: $28.00

Estimated Max Rate: $38.00

What You'll Be Doing:

• Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
• Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. Negotiates vendor contracts, as appropriate. Follows purchasing business processes.
• Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
• Solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
• Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
• Motivation, initiative, collaboration, connectivity, and coaching.

Required:

• Skilled in inventory management, procurement processes, data analysis, and supply chain processes.
• Procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA.
• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies.
• Knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
• Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations.
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or procurement is required.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
