This Buyer / Material Planner role is responsible for coordinating and leading the procurement of production-critical materials that keep the Ocala plant running. You will manage supplier follow-up, monitor MRP signals, track purchase orders, resolve delivery risks, and ensure materials are available when manufacturing needs them. This is not just placing orders—it is strategic material execution in a fast-moving manufacturing environment where your ability to build supplier relationships, analyze data, prioritize action, and expedite critical items directly impacts production flow and customer delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career purchasing professional who is ready to grow while bringing fresh, technology-focused thinking to an experienced team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in purchasing, procurement, materials planning, or a related field and demonstrated exposure to AI-enabled tools. You should be able to explain how you have applied AI in practical situations, such as improving spreadsheets, automating calculations, streamlining data collection and analysis, supporting presentations, or enhancing professional business communications.
Deep AI expertise is not required. We are looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, comfortable using emerging technology, and motivated to develop within the purchasing function.
