The role emphasizes negotiating with suppliers, driving cost reduction, and leading purchasing projects while maintaining quality and reliability. A bachelor's degree and 4–7 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with supplier management and MRP preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices.

  • Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional team to drive problem resolution for supply issues.
  • Drive purchasing activities to achieve lowest cost while maintaining quality.
  • Lead inventory and E&Z reduction efforts.
  • Manage assigned Purchasing Projects with cost, schedule, and scope.
  • Handle complex information with supplier leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to purchasing process improvements and train department staff.

As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for purchasing the materials, supplies, machinery, and services that equip our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling, negotiate with suppliers, and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality. Execute and manage pull-ins/push-outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand
  • Lead cross-functional team to drive problem resolution for supply issues with key stakeholders (i.e. engineering, manufacturing, Program Managers, Supplier Account Management)
  • Drive purchasing activities to execute purchase at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
  • Lead inventory and E&Z reduction efforts
  • Manage and lead assigned Purchasing Projects (i.e. Manage cost, schedule, and scope as required)
  • Manage complex and sensitive information with supplier leadership team and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to purchasing process improvement within the team and Act as trainer for department purchasing activities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-7 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices, key business drivers, competition in the marketplace
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects and build consensus, as needed

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
