Amentum is seeking a Buyer III for an on-site role near Odon, IN with remote/hybrid options. The Buyer will support NSWC Crane programs, manage procurement, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate bids to ensure on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of purchasing experience or a Master’s with 3+ years, and must possess an active U.S. government SECRET clearance. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 remote.

Responsibilities

• Purchases a variety of materials, supplies and services.

• Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments, cancellations and engineering changes.
• Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Control Specialist to provide essential support in managing and coordinating project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting activities. In this role, you will ensure that projects are executed on schedule, within scope, and within established budgets while identifying and mitigating risks. The Buyer III will support research and development efforts for Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UxS) programs.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience or a Master's degree and 3+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education & experience. Must possess an Active U.S. government SECRET security clearance. (Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.)

Preferred Qualifications

Local applicants with the ability to support a hybrid role (3 days in office/2 days remote).

Compensation Details
