Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a dedicated Buyer in Berthoud/Longmont, Colorado to streamline procurement for manufacturing materials, services, and components. You will engage suppliers, issue POs, and coordinate deliveries while communicating timelines to internal customers, supporting engineering goals and cross-functional teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in procurement or supply chain within manufacturing; ERP proficiency (Odoo a plus) and strong project management and communication skills are

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for materials, services, and equipment.
• Partner with Facilities to manage PO for corporate events.
• Update Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on PO status.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
• Oversee supplier management system to ensure compliance (ITAR/EAR).
• Build relationships with suppliers for timely deliveries and pricing.
• Assist with NDA creation and processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet timelines.
• Handle multiple purchase requests in a fast-paced environment.

This role will work out of our Berthoud and Longmont, Colorado facilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, services, and equipment needed for manufacturing.
• Partner with Facilities to create and manage purchase orders for corporate events.
• Regularly update Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on the status of open purchase orders and delivery timelines.
• Assist in negotiating favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with new and existing suppliers.
• Assistin the oversight of the supplier management system, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries andoptimalpricing.
• Aid in supplier non-disclosure agreement creation and processing.
• Attention to detail and ability tomanage multiple purchase requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Resolve issues related to price discrepancies, delayed shipments, or damaged goods; escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such asEngineering, MaterialControl, Quality, Finance, and others,tomeet project and production timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-2years of experience inprocurement,purchasing, orsupply chain, preferably in a manufacturingenvironment(aerospace experience is a plus).
• Understanding of hardware-centered production environment.
• Project managementknowledge.
• Familiarity withmodern ERP systems (experience withOdoois a plus).

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $63,280 - $79,100, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can't quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.
