Job summary

Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership procures engineered equipment and materials and expedit es deliveries in line with contracts and policy. The role may supervise buyers and contracts technicians and supports management across multiple procurement activities.

Position Overview

Under general supervision procures engineered equipment and material in accordance with buyers and contracts plan and/or handles all facets of traffic activity to project and/or executes the expediting function in accordance with established procurement policies andprocedures.

The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of thefollowing functional areas, in addition to other duties as assignment.

• Assist in development of buyers and contracts activities in accordance with established project and/or buyers andcontracts policies and procedures.
• May direct buyers and contracts technicians as required.
• Performs buying, subcontracting, expediting and/or the activities in accordance with established project and/or buyers andcontracts policies and procedures. Evaluates, selects and routes material shipment in accordance with procedures.
• Serves as a resource to less experienced team members.
• Performs research and compiles information/data on vendors, materials and supplies.
• Processes RFPs, RFQs, contracts, purchase orders and delivery orders actions.
• Assigned more complex contract and procurement actions for execution.
• Researches and writes more complex specifications.
• Contributes to the assignments of lower-level team members.
• Provides assigned technical, administrative or functional support to the management team.
• Performs duties moderately complex in nature.

• Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies,procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner.

Minimum Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a related field and 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience isrequired. Typical experience ranges from 5 – 8 years.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, organizational skills, judgment and flexibility.
• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of policy and regulatory requirements for contracting/procurement.

Working Conditions

Work in an office at a normal environmental restoration atmosphere (outdated and/or abandoned facilities or industrial fieldenvironments). May also work at off-project sites representing the organization at various types of locations throughout thecommunity for business purposes. Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents or hazardousand radioactive materials if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Ability to perform sedentary to light work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (any exertion of force/lifting greater than45 pounds requires usage of a two person "buddy system"), non-repetitive, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10pounds of force constantly, repetitive; performing such activities as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking,grasping, kneeling, stooping, reaching.

Ability to perform primary office duties including heavy computer usage.

In some cases, radiological training may be required.
