Actalent, a global leader in engineering and sciences services, is hiring a Buyers to support procurement, material planning, supplier management, and purchase order execution within the North America Parts Center and Otis Service Center. This entry-to-intermediate role owns supplier communication, purchase orders, shortage management, and inventory risk mitigation.

The ideal candidate has ERP/MRP exposure, strong Excel skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• The Buyer executes procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and services required to support production and business operations.
• Responsibilities include purchase orders, supplier management, inventory continuity, shortage mitigation, supplier performance monitoring, expediting, and supporting cross-functional supply chain operations.
• Preferred: Associate degree; Bachelor’s degree; Will consider strong purchasing experience without degree; Strong ERP aptitude; Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders with approved vendors and track confirmations.
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance.
• Monitor inventory levels and work on shortage mitigation plans.
• Support cross‑functional supply chain initiatives and expediting when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
