Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is seeking a Buyer to acquire and manage materials, perform cost analyses and vendor negotiations to sustain production. You will enter orders in SAP, evaluate suppliers, issue RFQs, and drive cost savings across the Dale operations.

Requirements include a bachelor's in a business-related field and 5+ years of purchasing and supplier management experience, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required.
• Five or more years of purchasing and supplier management experience preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Strong negotiation skills with a focus on manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, Outlook, and mainframe systems a plus.

Job Summary:

Acquires and maintains technical understanding of products purchased. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Develops and maintains working relations with assigned suppliers. Negotiates contracts and specific conditions for delivery of parts, materials, or services. Expedites purchase orders and supplier materials to meet the needs of the Vishay Dale operations requirements. Manages multiple projects to drive cost savings, supplier improvement, and to identify alternative sources for purchased products. Assists with supplier visits as needed to ensure adherence to delivery requirements and continuity of supply.
