KLA is seeking a dedicated buyer in Totowa, NJ to drive procurement for direct materials, ensuring availability and alignment with the build plan. You will manage supplier relationships, lead the RFP process, and coordinate ECOs with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years in controlled manufacturing, SAP experience, and strong data analytics. This full-time role sits on site in Totowa, with a comprehensive total rewards package and competitive base pay.

• Experience with high-mix components and assemblies.
• SAP or similar ERP experience.
• Data analytics skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place Purchase Orders for direct materials per requirements driven by MRP or Re-order Point system.
• Ensure timely materials availability per planning requirements and build plan.
• Review and analyze reports to mitigate shortages (Open order, WIP Shortage).
• Communicate with suppliers for on-time or delayed deliveries to align with build plan.
• Manage the RFP process from creation to vendor selection.
• Coordinate ECOs and supplier non-conformances; coordinate replacements/repairs (MRB).
• Coordinate phasing in of new revisions with suppliers.
• Support quarterly E&ND reviews with Inventory Analyst recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet procurement needs and timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and ensure service levels are met.
• Maintain procurement records (POs, contracts, supplier info).

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

• Place Purchase Orders for direct materials per requirements driven by MRP or Re-order Point system
• Ensure timely materials availability per planning requirements and build plan
• Review and analyze the reports to mitigate shortages (Open order report, WIP Shortage report etc.)
• Communicate with suppliers for early or delayed deliveries as required to align with build plan
• Manage the entire request for proposal (RFP) process, from creation and distribution to the evaluation of bids and final vendor selection.
• Liaise with suppliers on non-conformance issues and work with suppliers on replacements or repairs- MRB
• Communicate with Suppliers on engineering change orders (ECO) and co-ordinate phasing in of the new revision
• Work with Inventory Analyst by providing recommendation during quarterly E&ND review and follow through the action propose
• Collaborate with cross functional departments to understand their specific needs and ensure the timely delivery of all procured materials and services
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing any issues to ensure adherence to agreed-upon service levels.
• Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of buyer experience preferably in controlled manufacturing environment (semi, electromechanical)
• Experience in high mix components and assemblies
• SAP or similar ERP experience
• Data analytical skills preferred

Total Rewards

Base Pay Range: $81,500.00 - $119,567.00 AnnuallyPrimary Location: USA-NJ-Totowa-KLA
