Akkodis is seeking a proactive Buyer for a client located in Plymouth, MI. The role supports SAP-based purchasing, aids in transitioning from Baan to SAP, and coordinates RFQs and supplier communications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in buying, SAP hands-on experience in purchasing/logistics, and strong Excel skills. The position offers hybrid work (3 days onsite, 2 remote) with a 7:00–4:00 or 8:00–5:00 schedule.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in a Buyer or Buyer Assistant role.
• Hands-on SAP experience in purchasing or logistics modules.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
• Experience preparing and managing RFQs.

Akkodis is seeking a Buyer for a position with a client located in Plymouth, MI. Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a growing procurement team. This is an excellent opportunity for a purchasing professional with SAP experience who can work independently, support buyers, and help transition purchasing processes from the ERP Baan system to SAP.

Pay Range: $30/hr. - $35/hr. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Location: Plymouth, MI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Assistant Buyer Key Responsibilities

• Support the purchasing team with daily procurement activities and supplier communications.
• Create and maintain purchasing and supplier data within SAP using proprietary tools.
• Assist with the transition of purchasing processes from the Baan ERP system to SAP.
• Prepare and coordinate Requests for Quotation (RFQs), distribute them to suppliers, and track responses.
• Support supplier negotiations, annual pricing activities, and contract administration.
• Understand and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Scheduling Agreements (SAs).
• Extend suppliers to new Bosch plants within SAP.
• Prepare pricing decisions using Excel download/upload templates.
• Facilitate documentation and communication between internal teams and suppliers.
• Respond to supplier and customer inquiries while ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Provide day-to-day support to Lead Buyers and the purchasing organization.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Buyer or Buyer Assistant role.
• At least 2 year of hands-on SAP experience, preferably within purchasing or logistics modules.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
• Experience preparing and managing RFQs.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers is highly preferred.
