LeoForce in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ is seeking a mid-level Buyer to procure aerospace components, raw materials, and processing services. You will manage supplier relationships, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure on-time delivery while controlling cost and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in purchasing within aerospace or regulated manufacturing, with AS9100, FAR/DFARS/ITAR understanding and experience with MRP/ERP systems. A related Bachelor's degree is required.

  • Experience in MRP/ERP environments within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and production schedules to procure materials and services.
  • Manage procurement lifecycle for aerospace components and services.
  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with quality, delivery and cost targets.
  • Solicit quotations, analyze costs, and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, delivery, capacity and compliance.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure purchase orders include applicable flow-down requirements (AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, FAR, DPAS).

Job Details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze MRP requirements and production schedules to procure materials and services that support customer delivery commitments and inventory objectives.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle for aerospace components, machined parts, forgings, castings, raw materials, assemblies, and outside processing services.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support operational, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Solicit quotations, perform cost and price analyses, and negotiate favorable pricing, lead times, terms, and contractual conditions.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers based on quality, delivery performance, capacity, responsiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are accurate and include applicable flow-down requirements, including:
  • Customer-specific requirements
  • Engineering revisions & specifications
  • AS9100 requirements
  • First Article Inspection (AS9102) requirements
  • ITAR and Export Control requirements
  • DFARS and FAR clauses, when applicable
  • DPAS priority ratings
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of purchasing or supply chain experience in an aerospace, defense, aviation, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience procuring manufactured components, raw materials, and special processing services preferred.
  • Experience working within MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and supply chain requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and aerospace industry standards.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and DPAS regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, and technical documentation.
