Job summary

Agri-Mark is seeking a Butter Supervisor for the West Springfield plant to lead all butter operations, support scheduling, and drive continuous improvement. You will guide a trained workforce, ensure safety, and coordinate with production and quality teams to meet regulatory and customer specs.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience in manufacturing, with SQF/HAACP/GMP knowledge, and 3+ years of supervisory leadership in food manufacturing. The pay range is $70,000–$85,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the butter operation at the West Springfield facility.
• Assist the Master Scheduler to ensure production plans meet goals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Maintain training and guidance for team members and trainees.
• Ensure workforce is adequately trained and compliant with safety standards.
• Coordinate with Production Manager to meet regulatory and customer specifications.
• Support daily maintenance and laboratory functions supporting production and quality goals.
• Work with safety as a priority; expect additional hours and weekend/holiday rotations.

What you'll be doing:

The Butter Supervisor is responsible for all phases of the butter operation at the West Springfield facility. The Butter Supervisor will assist the Master Scheduler to ensure work schedules are prepared in a manner to achieve production goals; Butter Supervisor will initiate/support/participate in continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on effectiveness and efficiencies. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team member and provide guidance to trainees and coworkers. Provide support in ensuring that an adequately trained workforce is maintained. All butter team employees will report to the Butter Supervisor. Work with Production Manager to ensure all products meet regulatory and customer specifications. Support for daily maintenance and laboratory functions in support of production and quality goals is expected. All duties will be performed with safety in mind as a priority. Additional hours over 40 are required, participation in weekend and holiday rotations may also be required.

What we are seeking:

College degree or experience in manufacturing, dairy manufacturing preferred. 3-5 years related experience and/or training. Solid knowledge of SQF, HAACP and GMPs. Minimum 3 years supervisor experience in a food manufacturing environment or combination of education and related work experience considered.

Pay range for this position is $70,000-$85,000/yr. This range is an expected starting range but may be negotiable for candidates who demonstrate additional qualifications and experience.
