Job summary

Soho House & Co in Miami Beach is seeking a Busser responsible for curating a clean, organized member and guest experience. The role supports runners, servers and management by cleaning and resetting tables, restocking supplies, and coordinating guest needs with waitstaff.

Efficiency and strong customer service are essential. A successful candidate will be attentive, capable of multitasking, and comfortable working in a dynamic club setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work weekends/holidays when needed.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Detail all tables before service begins and ensure neat place settings.
• Set tables for various services and ensure correct china and ketchups are ready.
• Stock stations with small plates, glassware and silverware and keep bread/napkins stocked.
• Maintain sections and ensure bread/water upon guests’ arrival and assist other sections.
• Clear and reset tables between courses and wipe down for new guests.
• Polish silverware and store items per local standards.
• Complete side work before/after service.
• Ensure bar area cabinets are stocked with glassware, silverware and plates.
• Remove dirty linen and empty trash from stations.

The role…

At Soho House, a Busser is responsible for curating a we organized, clean and structured member and guest experience. A Busser, supports runners, servers and management by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of waitstaff. They also restock necessary items, such as napkins and straws, and may assist with washing dishes.

A successful Busser will be efficient, attentive, and have strong customer service skills.

Main Duties

• Detail all tables before service begins, ensure place settings are neat and organized and candles are on the tables
• Ensure appropriate table setting and china is used for various services throughout the day; breakfast, lunch, dinner or feast service; mis en place (ketchup, salt pepper, HP and sugar bowl).
• Stock all stations upon arrival (small plates, sharing plates, water and wines glasses, and all the silverware) and maintain throughout service along with working with your team to keep the bread warmer full and neat
• Maintain section and ensure bread and water is delivery upon guests’ arrival while also assisting other sections when applicable
• Clear tables plates, silver / glassware between each course and subsequently wipe down and re-set table for new guests
• Polish silverware and pot wash are stored according to local standards
• Complete side work before and after service (see side work sheets for details)
• Making sure the cabinet and shelf in the bar area are full before service (glassware - silverware - plate ware).
• Remove all the dirty linen from station and trash is empty and clean

Required Skills/Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in similar role
• Flexible schedule and open to working weekends / holidays (when needed)
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Detail oriented ability to multitask and deliver results in demanding and fast-paced environments
• Basic verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 40 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
