Job summary

Stones South Bay Corp in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a friendly Busser for graveyard shift to maintain a clean dining area and assist the food and beverage team in delivering a high-quality gaming and dining experience. You will clear tables, buss trays, reset tables, and help keep the coffee area tidy.

The role requires good communication, basic math, and the ability to follow safety rules and health guidelines. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required.
• A minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills; ability to calculate additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean restaurant environment; bussing trays, dirty dishes and flatware to the dishwashing area.
• Remove dirty plates and items from tables; keep tables and surrounding spaces tidy.
• Set up tables with fresh utensils, plates, and glasses for guests.
• Follow California Health & Safety Code and food-handling guidelines.
• Promote teamwork and assist other staff to ensure smooth service.
• Provide a friendly dining experience and rapport with guests to encourage return visits.
• Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to management.
• Attend required training such as BSA/AML as scheduled.
