Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse in the United States, is hiring for an on-site restaurant team member in California. You will buss, clean, reset tables, and assist with guest experience while learning the menu and upselling drinks and dishes.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs, work in a fast-paced environment, and complete California beverage service requirements within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed.
• The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
• For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).

Responsibilities

• Bussing, cleaning, and properly resetting tables, and addressing cleanliness or service needs in public areas.
• Knowledge of food and drink menu to upsell products.
• Answering phones promptly and professionally.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as needed.
• Commitment to safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation standards and safety procedures.
