Job summary

Aspen One is seeking a Busser/Barback to maintain a clean, inviting restaurant environment and support smooth service. You will clear tables, stock supplies, and assist guests while reporting to the Restaurant Manager.

This seasonal, full-time role emphasizes adaptability, strong English communication, and positive guest interactions in a fast-paced setting at Aspen One locations.

Qualifications

• Prior guest service experience is preferred.
• Prior work experience in a restaurant is preferred.
• Proficient written and verbal communication in English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to work under stressful circumstances and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Follow opening/closing procedures for restaurant, bar, and restrooms.
• Ensure all items are stocked and notify manager of stockouts.
• Complete side work to prep for service.
• Engage with guests to meet their needs.
• Clean and clear tables efficiently.
• Maintain bus stations and remove trash/recycling.
• Move tables/chairs to facilitate housekeeping.
• Complete tasks and projects as assigned by manager.

Job Description

Position Summary
The Busser / Barback is responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant facility by clearing/wiping tables, stocking products, performing housekeeping functions and engaging with our guests to ensure their needs are met. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

• • Responsible for following designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, to include housekeeping functions for restaurant, bar, and restroom areas
• • Ensure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stock
• • Complete side work duties to ensure the restaurant is ready for service
• • Engage with guests, helping as needed to ensure their needs are met
• • Clean and clear tables efficiently
• • Maintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling, composting
• • Move tables, chairs, bus stations to facilitate housekeeping
• • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist elsewhere as business volumes and staff levels demand
• • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

• • Prior guest service experience is preferred
• • Prior work experience in a restaurant is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• • Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
• • Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
• • Proficient written and verbal communication English skills, Spanish a plus
• • Ability to work under stressful circumstances
• • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
• • Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
• • Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
• • Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• • Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
