Job summary

M Crowd Restaurant Group is seeking a Busser to support wait staff and bartenders and help ensure smooth service. You will greet guests, serve water and chips, clear tables, and keep the dining area clean during peak periods.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, hospitality, and teamwork to delight guests. This is a flexible shift position with opportunities for growth within the restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures.

• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed.
• Ability to clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently.
• Ability to carry trays, dishes, and supplies safely.

Responsibilities

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and chips & salsa.
• Clear tables after guests.
• Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc.
• Between seating’s promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths. Check floor/bathrooms and clean as required.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating them to the server as needed.
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Must maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Thank guests as they are leaving.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or director

Summary

The Busser supports wait staff and bartenders to ensure smooth and efficient service. While not the front line of service, strong attention to detail and attentiveness are essential to delight our guests. The Busser serves water, salsa, and tortilla chips upon guest arrival.

Licensing Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Certification

Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and chips & salsa
• Clear tables after guests
• Take soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area
• Between seating’s promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths. Check floor/bathrooms and clean as required
• Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating them to the server as needed
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
• Must maintain a clean and organized service area
• Thank guests as they are leaving
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or director

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years of age
• Restaurant experience in hospitality environment preferred, but not required
• Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment. Utilize basic safety measures to keep the work environment safe. Report any safety concerns to your supervisor. Where safety rules or best practices require that protective clothing/glove/shoes/equipment to be worn, or apparatus utilized, employees must wear clothing /gloves, shoes and equipment and use the apparatus.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the duration of the shift
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, hot (kitchen) and cold (walk-ins)

Safety & Sanitation Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using the bathroom, touching own face or hair, or handling food prep
