Job summary

Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai in Kailua-Kona, HI is seeking a Busser to support the dining team with dishwashing, station setup, and guest flow. The role focuses on quick service, cleanliness, and teamwork to ensure a smooth operation during peak hours.

You will help keep the dining and kitchen areas organized, assist in food prep as needed, and follow sanitation procedures. The position offers a flexible schedule and growth opportunities within a team-oriented workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed.
• Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties. Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed.
• Removing guests’ dirty dishes and utensils.
• Delivering used dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Directing guests to restrooms or exits as needed.
• Clearing table as guests complete their meals and preparing tables for next guests.
• Following and maintaining all sanitation and safety procedures.
• Performing closing activities such as cleaning and preparing stations for the morning shift.
• Compensation: Minimum Wage
