Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is hiring for a team member to buss, clean and reset tables while supporting all restaurant areas as needed. You will be expected to know our menu, upsell where appropriate, and handle phones professionally to direct inquiries.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. The position offers hourly pay of $16.90 plus tips, with benefits including health insurance eligibility, sick leave under CA rules, and growth

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs or more and work in hot/cold environments.
• Walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• California-based role requires Responsible Beverage Service Certification (can be completed during training or within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Buss, clean and reset tables; address cleanliness and service needs in public areas to keep the guest experience smooth.
• Know menu items and upsell drinks and food where appropriate.
• Answer phones promptly and direct calls as needed.
• Support all restaurant areas as business needs arise to WOW guests.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be a team player responsible for bussing, cleaning, and properly resetting tables, as well as addressing any cleanliness or service needs in public areas, to keep the guest experience running smoothly.
• You will have a general knowledge of our food and drink menu and be able to recommend and upsell products.
• Will answer the phones in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls as applicable.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Ensuring every opportunity to WOW our guests is fulfilled. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.
• Committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, sanitation standards and all safety procedures during the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
