About the Job You're Considering

Capgemini is seeking a Business Technology Architect - Manufacturing to join our Manufacturing Domain Practice. This role combines manufacturing industry expertise, business architecture, and technology consulting to help clients define and execute transformation strategies that improve operational performance, accelerate innovation, and enable long‑term business growth.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with business leaders, operations stakeholders, and technology teams to align business objectives with technology investments and transformation initiatives. You will help clients navigate complex challenges related to digital manufacturing, smart factories, supply chain modernization, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation.

You will support some of the world's leading manufacturing organizations, including automotive OEMs and suppliers, aerospace and defense companies, industrial manufacturers, consumer products companies, and chemical and process manufacturers. These organizations are accelerating investments in Industry 4.0, intelligent operations, connected supply chains, enterprise platforms, data-driven decision making, and OT/IT convergence.

Business Architects define and structure business strategy, capabilities, services, governance models, organizational domains, and key business processes. They align goals and objectives with products, operations, technologies, partners, and suppliers to optimize enterprise performance and transformation outcomes. The focus is on end‑to‑end value delivery, business operations, and business capabilities that connect strategy to execution.

Business Architects establish and maintain a comprehensive view across business domains, from strategic planning through implementation. They create capability maps, business models, value streams, and transformation roadmaps that support operational excellence, enterprise modernization, and sustainable business growth.

Your Role

Facilitate business architecture and capability assessments to identify opportunities for operational improvement and digital transformation.

Define current‑state and future‑state business capabilities, value streams, operating models, and transformation roadmaps.

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align strategic objectives with technology investments and operational priorities.

Translate manufacturing business challenges into business and technology‑enabled solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Support enterprise transformation initiatives across manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, maintenance, quality, and customer operations.

Help define business requirements, operating models, governance structures, and business processes for transformation programs.

Participate in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, Manufacturing Execution System (MES/MOM), Supply Chain, ERP, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Operational Technology (OT) modernization initiatives.

Support architecture governance activities, business capability mapping, and solution reviews across transformation programs.

Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather requirements and define future‑state business capabilities.

Assist in developing business cases, transformation strategies, roadmaps, and value realization plans.

Work with cross‑functional teams to identify process improvements and organizational impacts associated with business transformation initiatives.

Support proposal development, client presentations, architecture assessments, and strategic pursuits.

Collaborate with Capgemini architects, consultants, and industry specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.

Stay current on manufacturing industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to bring innovative thinking to client engagements.

Your Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.

7-10 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, manufacturing consulting, business transformation, or technology advisory roles.

Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial products, automotive, aerospace and defense, consumer products, chemical, or process manufacturing organizations.

Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes including production, maintenance, supply chain, inventory management, engineering, asset management, and quality management.

Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives including Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, MES/MOM, ERP modernization, supply chain transformation, PLM, or OT/IT convergence programs.

Ability to translate business objectives into business capabilities, transformation roadmaps, and technology‑enabled solutions.

Experience working directly with business and technology stakeholders in complex organizational environments.

Understanding of business architecture methodologies, capability models, operating models, value streams, and process frameworks.

Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and platforms including SAP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/MOM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Industrial IoT, Analytics, and Cloud Platforms.

Knowledge of enterprise technologies including cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), integration platforms, APIs, and data ecosystems.

Strong analytical, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience leading workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and business process assessments.

Consulting experience supporting business transformation, process improvement, operational excellence, or technology modernization initiatives preferred.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TOGAF, BIZBOK, or related business architecture frameworks preferred.

Experience supporting proposal development, client presentations, and strategic pursuits preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $82,082- $233,740. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
