Business Technology Analyst (Power Grid/Electric Utility Exp. preferred)

Scope of Work

This project is focused on implementing process improvements for Grid Assets regarding workforce management, including the implementation of a scheduling and mobile work management solution. Significant work is needed around mapping as‑is processes, gathering requirements and facilitating user acceptance testing. The contractor will need to lead process mapping efforts with subject matter experts to understand current business processes and to map those processes within MS Visio (or a comparable application). In addition, the contractor will be expected to lead detailed‑requirements gathering sessions amongst multiple business units, and to complete a gap analysis review of any proposed solutions. The contractor will also be expected to lead user acceptance testing efforts with SMEs to ensure that the solution delivered meets business needs.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Experience leading teams composed of business unit and IT professionals in the areas of documentation and project‑related support to include the following types of documentation:
    • a. Requirements gathering
    • b. Process mapping
    • c. Business systems/technical analysis (in SAP and other systems)
    • d. Process improvements
    • e. Build relationships/lead meetings
    • f. User Acceptance Testing
  • Experience identifying, documenting and publishing documentation.
  • Experience with project methodologies and deliverables focused on maintaining a common documentation model for storing business process documentation.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft software tools; Outlook, Excel, Visio, Work, etc.
