Job summary

CTG is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Buffalo, NY team for a 6-month engagement. The role focuses on directing assigned applications, analyzing requirements, and leading complex technology initiatives within the SDLC framework.

You will act as a SME for application functionality, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined higher education and/or operational, business analytics, or systems development experience.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale system enhancements, conversions, implementations, and production problem resolution.
• Strong SDLC, application, and systems integration knowledge.
• Experience with risk, issue, dependency, and decision management.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor less experienced personnel and provide leadership and knowledge sharing on complex initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Lead large-scale application and technology initiatives through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Assess business, technical, and operational impacts and support requirements, design, testing, implementation, and production activities.
• Provide advanced knowledge of supported applications and integrated/interfacing systems.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• Provide project leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.

Education and Experience Required:

• 10+ years of combined higher education and/or operational, business analytics, or systems development experience.
• Extensive experience leading large-scale system enhancements, conversions, implementations, and production problem resolution.
• Strong SDLC, application, and systems integration knowledge, including experience managing upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Experience with risk, issue, dependency, and decision management.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in Commercial Banking, Business Lending, or large-scale software implementations.
• Experience supporting multiple business functions and complex integrated applications.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead, influence, mentor, and collaborate effectively while managing multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with application development platforms, project management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
