Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Analytics Projects Independently: Deliver high-quality analytics solutions with minimal supervision, following clear objectives and timelines
  • Design and Maintain Data Infrastructure: Build robust data models and ETL pipelines to support scalable analytics and reporting frameworks
  • Effective Analytics architect: Apply understanding of the mechanics and user flow within a data set and dashboard
  • Leverage Advanced SQL Skills: Write efficient, optimized SQL queries to extract, analyze, and manipulate complex datasets
  • Promote Systems Thinking: Approach problems with a systems-oriented mindset, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term goals
  • Communicate Insights Clearly: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise business insights through strong written and verbal communication
  • Navigate Between Strategy and Detail: Seamlessly shift between high-level concepts and granular data to drive informed decision-making
  • Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with analysts, end users, and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver actionable, data-driven insights

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 5+ years of experiencein a data analytics or analytic engineer role
  • 5+ years of experiencewithSQL programming, relational databases, data management, and data warehousing
  • 3+ years of experiencein reporting, data visualization (e.g.,Tableau,Power BI), and analytical interpretation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Experience withhealthcare data, including but not limited toclaims and eligibility datasets
  • Familiarity withcloud-based data platformssuch asAzureorSnowflake
  • Strong understanding ofsystems thinkingand its application in data engineering
  • Excellentwritten and verbal communicationskills
  • Proven ability towork independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

The salary range for this role is $71,600to $140,600annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
